Notable Inspiration: The architectural aspects of the ceremony space which called to mind the beauty of Rome. Harry used the arches as a recurring design element, creating a subtle thread to tie everything together.

What Made This Event Unique: With an invite list of only 65 guests, our clients were excited by the potential to create a truly special, highly customized event. The artistically designed invitation suite — featuring gold accents, velvet, and an arched lucite invitation — signaled to those invited that this would not be your average affair. On the day of the wedding, guests were greeted by a harpist and butler-passed champagne adorned with the ripest raspberries prior to the ceremony. After the couple exchanged their vows, they met their guests in the reception space to celebrate their nuptials. We selected Napoleon chairs as a nod to the Old World style that the bride loved. The place settings included sleek, modern chargers, gold flatware, plush velvet napkins, and arched seating cards — a callback to the invitation suite — with the word “Hello” followed by each guest’s name. A timeless black and white checkered dance floor grounded the open-air space, where guests danced the night away under the stars.

The Harry Signature: Nothing brings Harry more joy than discovering the deepest desires of his clients and translating them into the language of design. In this case, that meant vintage yellow goblets (the bride’s favorite color), an elevated, yet whimsical Batman-themed wedding cake (a surprise for the groom from his sweetheart), and the most stunning florals including heart, lady emma and toffee roses, ranunculus, palm tree seed pods, snap dragons, leaf foliage, leucadendron, mums, olive tree branches.

Important Takeaways: When selecting an event venue, it is worth considering whether you want a venue that will contribute to the design of your event or one that forces your event to be retrofitted to the design of the venue. Our clients were looking for the former and we helped them find just the right location. The Lake Mirror Promenade is one of Lakeland's most well-known historical landmarks and our client loved its Romanesque architectural features. The nearby reception terrace was a blank canvas, perfect for realizing our vision for this couple’s magical day.
