What Made This Event Unique: When a seasoned event planner gets married, the day is sure to be filled with perfectly executed and highly personalized details. For the ceremony Harry and his husband invited their guests to stand at attention in front of a custom-built platform where the grooms exchanged their vows. Groomsmaids cradled custom-designed sphere bouquets. Moody, dark florals — a composition including burgundy orchids, black calla lilies, dripping amaranthus, and Italian cyprus — contrasted with the gold orb which helped the abstract arrangement maintain its organic shape. A subtle nod to the sparks that flew when the couple met two years prior was a sparkler entrance, made possible with the help of their guests. At the end of the evening, the couple decided to forgo what would be considered a traditional wedding cake in favor of a festive Champagne tower to toast the beautiful life that lay ahead of them.

The Harry Signature: Ever the showman, Harry surprised his sweetheart with a choreographed dance — complete with 2 hired backup dancers — to a montage of the couple’s favorite songs, each with its own special meaning.

Important Takeaways: Harry took the role of both event designer and client for this momentous occasion. Given the chance to do it all again, the only thing he would change would be to hire a day-of coordinator so that he and his beloved could fully immerse themselves in the magic of the day. Having learned this important lesson firsthand, Harry now strongly advises everyone from clients to close friends to ensure that their event design package includes a dedicated day-of coordinator.
